Inakay values education. Education
opens up opportunities for our child beneficiaries:
• It provides them information that will help in making better
choices.
• It gives them experience that will be used in many life situations.
• It provides them confidence to help express opinion.
• It will give them the opportunity to find jobs that will bring
themselves out of poverty to sustainability.
• It will affirm their worth and dignity as human beings.
• It will give them the opportunity later in life to become
productive members of their communities.
We provide financial assistance to child beneficiaries from first
grade to college so they can continue going to school. School provides
children and youth a safer environment than streets. The streets lure
children to use drugs, influencing them to rob and kill, to participate
in prostitution/sexual trade leading to wasted lives, or eventually
end up in jail.
We believe that the support and participation of others through financial
and non-financial support are crucial to keeping the children and
youth in school. Our staff and volunteers monitor and evaluate each
student’s progress. They meet with parents/guardians and, as
necessary with school advisers, to develop ways to encourage learning
and staying in school.
