The mission of Inakay is to facilitate
the re-integration of female prison inmates and their children to
society through forming within them Christian values, building family
connections, supporting children’s education, and equipping
families and communities with tools necessary for self-sustainability.
Our Vision
The vision of Inakay is to transform family
units in the Philippines broken apart by the incarceration of their
mothers. It also seeks to lead in the prevention of the disintegation
of families exacerbated by living in risky social environments.
Ina-inakay Core
Values
People
As Bearers Of God’s Image
We believe that every man and
woman bear the image of God. Each one has been born with value, dignity,
ability and beauty.
Prisoners As Vessels For Mercy
We believe that as beneficiaries
of God’s mercy and kindness, we must demonstrate mercy and kindness
especially toward the “outcasts” in society.
Meaningful Existence As The Goal for
Every Prisoner and Their Families
We believe that love and trust
through words and action provide an environment conducive to a change
resulting in productivity that benefits the community.
Developing Model Relationships
We believe that we should treat
each other with fairness and kindness through our words and through
our action. The Word of God our rule, God the Center of our life,
The Lord Jesus Christ our model, and the Holy Spirit our guide.
Accountability
And Transparency
We believe in good governance
of the resources our God and our partners entrust to us. We will strive
to be responsible managers of these assets.
Education: The Gateway To Growth
We believe that education provides
opportunities for quality growth for individuals and groups, including
development of program activities.
Truth: The Road To Freedom
Truth allows our inner self to
be in perfect peace with God. Perfect peace is freedom to move forward
by faith, walk with hope, and live the abundant life.
